Outlook 2007 – Add Tracking to E-mail Message
Email tracking is feature with the help that you can track your email (i.e. whether your email message was delivered to the recipient’s mailbox or recipient opens your email message.)
There are two options for email tracking
- Delivery Receipt
- Read Receipt
A delivery receipt tells you that your e-mail message was delivered to the recipient’s mailbox, but not whether the recipient has seen it or read it.
Read receipt tells you that your message has been opened.
In both cases, you receive a message notification when your message is delivered or read.
You can enable this feature as mentioned below …
- Go to Tool menu in the Menu Bar
- Click on the Options
- Under the Preferences Tab, Click on the Email Options
- Under the Email Options, Click on the Tracking Options
- Now you will see the two option: Delivery Receipt and Read Receipt
Now you just need to click on the check box of Delivery Receipt and Read Receipt as you need.
Note: You can set any one of option as Read Receipt. (If Required)
